226,862. Fielding, S. J. Sept. 22, 1923. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-A narrow passage E connecting the combustion-chamber F with the cylinder, is inclined to the cylinder axis in a plane perpendicular to Fig. 1, and enters the combustion chamber tangentially. Inlet and exhaust valves B, C, are located in the combustion chamber F, and are inclined to the cylinder axis. The combustion chamber F may be waterjacketed, the opening from the cylinder into the passage E may be offset from the cylinder axis, and the walls of the passage E may be curved. Specification 17104/14 is referred to.
