[Class 7 (iii).] The combustion chamber 1 of a Diesel engine is formed as a prism having a cross section shaped as shown in Fig. 2, a fuel nozzle being located at 4. Inlet and exhaust valves 5, 6 may be located in the upper wall of the chamber as shown in Fig. 2, or two inlet valves may be located in the chamber whilst the exhaust valves open directly to the cylinder, Fig. 3.
