Abstract
226,766. Claudel, R. Aug. 21, 1923. Valves.-Ignition of heavy fuel mixtures is effected by igniting in a recess 5 a specially prepared mixture made with the same fuel as is used in the main mixture; the main admission or exhaust valve 2 is adapted to rise sufficiently to close the orifices 13 leading from the recess into the combustion chamber.
