Abstract

225,530. Ducamp, A. J. Nov, 29, 1923, [Convention date]. Addition to 210,995. Spray carburettors. - The nozzle described in the parent Specification is modified for use with a laterally arranged choke tube. The nozzle. comprises (1) an outer chamber c communicating with the fuel pipe m through a constriction a, with the atmosphere through a tube n, and with an outlet tube 5 provided with air inlets 6 and situated in the choke tube d, and (2) an inner chamber f communicating with the atmosphere through an orifice e, with the fuel pipe m through a constriction h, and with the outer chamber c through orifices g. At low engine speeds, air passes through the orifices g and aerates the fuel passing through the constrictions a, h; at high speeds, the fuel is first aerated by air passing through the constriction h, and aerated a second time at g.
