Abstract
251,584. Seignol, E. April 30, 1925, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors. - A diffuser a is provided with a throttle valve b, and a tube d of comparatively large diameter enters the diffuser on the engine side of the throat c. The tube d at its lower end terminates in a. venturi tube f the throat of which communicates with the fuel tank e by a pipe g. A second pipe h leads from the tank to the engine side of the throttle valve b and is provided with a. calibrated orifice i and with air inlets h<1> to provide an emulsion for slow running. A chamber j adapted to retain unvaporized particles of fuel communicates with the atmosphere through holes k and passages l and serves to facilitate acceleration. The calibrated orifice i and inlets h<1> may, as a modification, be replaced by a venturi tube. With the above arrangement of parts, it is not necessary tn raise the fuel as far as the diffuser. Specication 218,251 is referred to.
