Abstract
287,743. A.M.A.C., Ltd., and Bowen, H. H. May 11, 1927. Spray carburettors. - A tubular throttle valve 4 is adapted to be moved across the mixture passage 3 and carries, adjustably or otherwise, a needle valve 7 which enters a nozzle 3. The nozzle is fed through a metered orifice formed in a removable and interchangeable plug 6 and such orifice determines the maximum fuel flow. The part 8 in which the nozzle is mounted is extended upwardly at 9 and is bored at 10 to coincide with the mixture passage, the throttle valve sliding between this extension and the wall 2 of the body. The nozzle outlet is arranged in or at the lower end of a choke tube 12 which receives primary air through a duct 15 from the main air-intake passage. A pilot nozzle 16 is provided and may be arranged as described in Specification 285,288 Specifications 116,232 and 207,220 also are referred to.
