Spray carburettors.-A tube d of uniform and comparatively large diameter opens into a diffuser a slightly on the engine side of the neck c thereof and, at its lower end, terminates in a venturi f the throat of which is in communication through a pipe g with a float chamber m. The space above the fuel in the float chamber is placed under suction by a pipe n opening into the diverging portion of the diffuser a so as to lift fuel from a main tank e through a pipe o. A valve b slides over the tube d and controls the air inlet to the diffuser. As fuel has only to be raised to the tank m, the venturi f may be placed as low as desired. Specification 188,636 is referred to.
