Spray carburettors.- The carburettor, which is of the type in which the fuel is lifted from a low level tank by suction, has a throttle valve c, a main Venturi d, and a suctionactuated air valve g pivoted at f and loaded by a spring h. An auxiliary Venturi m discharges near the throat of the Venturi d, and another auxiliary Venturi k discharges into the mixture passage a on the engine side of the throttle valve c. Nozzles p, n discharge at the respective throats of the auxiliary Venturi tubes and these nozzles are connected by a common pipe q with the low-level fuel reservoir r. Non-return valves s, t are provided in the fuel passage. In a modification, a float chamber is inserted in the pipe q.
