Abstract
224,096. Arcy, J. d'. Nov. 19, 1923. Spray carburettors.-The vacuum tank 12 is connected to the fuel reservoir by a pipe 11, to a source of suction by a pipe 13, and to a fuellevel chamber 27 of the carburettor by a valveless feed pipe 26 and a valveless fuel-level regulating pipe 29. When the float 21 rises, it closes the suction connection by means of a valve 15 and the fuel connection by a spring-pressed valve 25. The chamber 27 is open to atmosphere through a U-pipe 31, and when the fuel in the chamber closes the end of the pipe 29, atmospheric pressure is cut off from the tank 12 and flow to the chamber 27 ceases. The suction connection is provid'ed with a non-return valve.
