Vacuum apparatus. -In fuel-feed apparatus of the kind comprising a receiver R into which the fuel is drawn by suction and from which it passes by gravity into another vessel R<1> connected to the carburettor, the suction port A is controlled by a slide valve T operated by a float F, and the atmospheric valve P is opened by the float through a spring M after the port A is closed. The float, in falling, pulls the valve T into contact with a head E' on the stem of the valve P.
