Abstract

234,322. Sacco, A. P. July 28, 1924. Vacuum apparatus.-In suction feed apparatus supplying petrol &c. to an internal-combustion engine, a float 16 in an inner chamber 2 actuates a central guiding-rod 14 connected to a weighted, articulated parallelogram 25, 27, which through tappets 22, 23, 24 and an enlarged head 29 actuates a disc, suction-controlling valve 21 and a ball, air-controlling valve 31. When the chamber 2 is full and is put into communication with the atmosphere, the fuel passes through a pair of connected lift valves 9 secured on opposed arms of different length into an outer chamber 1 which communicates with the carburettor through a control cock. 7.
