Abstract

167,758. Raimond, D. Aug. 9, 1920, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Preventing stopping of engine when actuating auxiliary suction apparatus.-Vacuum apparatus for supplying liquid fuel to internal-combustion engines comprises a chamber I containing two floats A, B adapted to operate respectively the suction and atmospheric valves F, E in succession, so as to prevent access of air to the engine through the suction pipe C. As the floats rise, the float A engages a sleeve J and closes the valve F, after which the float B engages a plate L carrying a pin M adapted to open the valve E.
