Regulating delivery by stop valves.-A liquidfuel supply apparatus for an internal-combustion engine comprises a variable-stroke diaphragm pump 3 delivering to a float-controlled reservoir 10; closure of the reservoir inlet by the float sets up a pressure in the pump delivery pipe 5 which renders the pump ineffective, the drive being taken up by a lost-motion device. The reservoir 10 is provided with a vent 19 for the escape of vapour and feeds a carburettor 51 by gravity.
