Abstract

158,351. Torrens, J. A. Nov. 3, 1919. Starting.-A starting-device comprises a drawoff pipe a depending in a fuel tank b and communicating through a conduit e with a pipe leading to the induction pipe and fitted near the induction pipe with a spring-pressed valve k, Fig. 2, actuated by a Bowden wire or other means. The fuel is atomized, on admission to the conduit e, by a nozzle g whicls has a central and constant air inlet and is adjustable to vary the annular fuel passage around the nozzle.
