Abstract
191,781. Madge, D. C. Sept. 15, 1921. Vaporizers, external. - A rich mixture, produced in a passage d, by fuel issuing from a float-chamber d through a submerged nozzle b and air entering at f, is conveyed through a number of small pipes p, surrounded by an exhaust-heated jacket h, and is returned to the induction pipe with secondary air by a large central pipe m. The secondary air is admitted through a base n which may be interchangeable to alter the supply. Baffles may be provided in the tube m. According to the Provisional Specification, rich mixture for starting is formed in a passage e, by fuel issuing from a nozzle c and air entering at g, and is led through a tube q which extends down the jacket h and back again to a point near the throttle.
