Abstract

156,094. Garnier, L. Dec. 31, 1919, [Convention date]. Addition to 138,587. Vacuum apparatus.-In vacuum fuel-feed apparatus as described in the parent Specification, the air valve P is lifted by the combined action of the spring M and the float F. The suction valve T carries a pin 6 which passes through a slot 14 in the stem of the valve P, through slots I<1> in the float guide S, and through slots 15 in a sleeve carried by the float. As the float rises a bridge-piece K on the float presses the spring M against the end of the valve stem, and when the bottom of the slots 15 engages the pin 6 the suction valve T is closed. When the pin 6 engages the top of the slot 14, the float acts directly on the stem of the valve P and assists the spring M to open it. The suction pipe 7 has a non-return valve 9.
