Vacuum apparatus.-In a liquid-feed apparatus, such as is used for supplying fuel to motor vehicles, and comprising a suction chamber B into which the liquid is drawn from a reservoir by suction and from which it passes to a feed chamber A, a reserve tank J is adapted to be filled from the chamber A and to be drawn upon independently of the chamber A by the carburettor &c. E. In one form, the pipe F connecting the chamber A to the carburettor has a branch pipe H to the tank J fitted with a valve K. In another form, the tank J is integral with the chamber A, and the valve connecting them is adpted to be operated from a distance by linkwork.
