Abstract

199,196. Buschenhenke, G. H. April 18, 1922. Elastic-grip joints, with valves. -A safety cut-off valve for gas pipes adapted to close when the india-rubber connection is pulled off comprises a flat lift valve 16 mounted on a ported stem 15 having a detachable head 21 arranged to be engaged by the rubber pipe. Should the pipe become detached, a spring 19 presses the valve on to a flat seat formed on a member 14 inserted in a tube 12 screwed to the casing of a cock 11.
