Lift valves.-A valve device particularly applicable for controlling the supply of oil to vapour lamps comprises a lift valve actuated by a cam and packed by means of a flexible diaphragm. The cam lever i worlds through a ball j arranged in contact with the diaphragm g to press the valve d towards its seat against the action of a spring e. The spring e bears against a head on the stem which is slotted at f to permit fluid to flow from the inlet b to the outlet c.
