299,592. Pinson & Evans, Ltd., and Parker, J. F. Oct. 5, 1927. Valves actuated indirectly.-In valve fittings for supplying water to cattle bowls of the type operated by the nose of the animal, the valve L is carried directly by the nose lever P, H and is pressed against an external seating D by a spring M, the lever being fulcrummed below the axis of the valve. The valve disc L is of rubber, leather, &c. and the spring M is adjusted by a screw cap E. The part P of the nose lever is elbow-jointed so that it can be turned up out of the bowl T; in the operative position, it abuts against a depending part N of the upper part of the lever. The valve fitting is moreover formed with a bowl-supporting bracket b and with twoside arms R extending under the curled rim a of the bowl, as shown.
