Abstract

284,093. Shanks, J. K. Feb. 12, 1927. Drinking-appliances for animals. - A water trough a is provided with an integral or separate upwardly projecting valve chamber b having secured thereto a coupling d for the valve supply pipe and provided with a non-return valve f having a short downwardly projecting stem g. The top of the valve chamber is covered by a removable plate h secured thereto by a screw i, ribs being provided on the top of the chamber or the plate to form passages for the water into the bowl. A screw j passing through the plate h, when screwed down, holds the valve f on its seat. The bottom of the bowl is provided with a hole normally closed by a plug m.
