Abstract

322,591. Shanks, J. K. Oct. 17, 1928. Addition to 266,519. Valves actuated indirectly.-The valve e of a cattle-watering bowl of the type set out in the parent Specification is arranged to be held upon its seat by a helical spring h located above the valve proper and within the valve chamber b. The valve is carried on a grooved stem that terminates in an enlarged disc-like head g. This stem fits inside a hollow plug f, the upper part of which screws into the valve chamber and forms the valve seat. Two disc-like enlargements, one above the other, may be formed on the valve spindle for use where the water pressure is high. The nose piece d has an upwardly projecting lug t provided with shoulders adapted to engage in recesses formed in the shield or the valve chamber.
