Abstract
322,683. Scott, G. Jan. 23, 1929. Valves fitted with independentlyactuated supplementary valves. - A valve arrangement for cattle drinking bowls comprises a valve body 1 screwed to the bowl 6 and having an upstanding sleeve 3 enclosing a non-return supply valve 2a of the floating disc type. A manually-operable ported tubular valve 4, is disposed in the upper part of the sleeve and may be screwed down to close the lateral supply-openings 5, the closure being made fluid tight by means of a deformable washer 8. The tubular valve 4 may be of sliding type and may be secured in the open or closed positions by a side set-screw engaging one of two circumferential grooves in the outer surface.
