Leakage, stopping. -The spindle of a liquid delivery valve is surrounded by a sleeve of elastic material, the top end 14 of the packing being caused to bear against a conical seating 13 provided in the casing, when the valve is opened. A nut 15 screwed to the lower end of the spindle bears against the bottom of the packing sleeve as the valve is lifted.
