Abstract

724,968. Float-actuated valves. CHERRYBURRELL CORPORATION. March 16, 1953 [April 25, 1952], No. 7168/53. Class 135. A valve for supplying liquid to a tank 13, e.g. in a milk &C bottling machine, comprises a duet 16a having two sets of openings 27, 28 spaced, on either side of a plug 30 in the duet, and a float 24 secured to a sleeve 23 slidable on the duct from the valve closed position, as shown, to a position whereby a sleeve passage 29 -allows liquid to by-pass the plug through both sets of openings and flow through the outlet 26. The plug has a depending part 31 with a flared head 38 for radially distributing the liquid and is held in position by the spring 36.
