Abstract

725,524. Check valves. KREIDEL, H., and KREIDEL, jun., H. Sept. 4, 1953 [Sept. 6, 1952], No. 24497/53. Class 135. A check valve 6 closing directly on to a seat 10 includes a non-metallic resilient washer 13 which is forced by the fluid into sealing contact with the valve and the valve seat. The washer is held in position by a metal washer 15 and a sleeve 14, the latter abutting at its other end against a spider acting as a guide for the valve spindle. The valve casing consists of two units of a coupling in the fluid conduit, the units being screwed together. In a modification, the valve is of truncated conical shape.
