Sliding valves. - The body of the tap comprises two nipples 7, 8 which are screwed into a union 6 against cork settings 11, between which a flat valve-plate 9 slides. The fluid passage 12 is controlled by sliding the plate 9 so that its opening 9<a> is or is not in register with the passage 12.
