450,490. Discharge cocks. MARKUS, D., 30, Raday-Utca, Budapest. March 25, 1935, No. 9286. [Class 135] A discharge cock comprises a conical valve member c opening under the fluid pressure, the amount of opening of the valve being regulated, and the closure being positively effected, by a spiral cam d rotatably mounted within the valve casing and bearing on the top of the valve member c. The cam d is carried by a spindle e which passes through a stuffing-box k and is actuated by an external lever g. A projection d<1> on the cam engages a stop l on the valve casing to limit the movement.
