Valves or cocks fitted with independentlyactuated supplementary valves.-A water tap or cock, as b, is provided with a supplemental valve d, behind the main valve, consisting of a rectangular butterfly flap rotatable in either direction and having its axis parallel with the spindle of the main valve, as shown. This construction facilitates repairs to the main valve.
