Abstract

159,922. Stead, E. J. Nov. 6, 1919. Multiple - - way plug cocks.-A plug valve with a number of outlets is provided with means for distributing the flow to one or more outlets. The body A is shown with an inlet I and three outlets O which are controlled by a conical plug B. The plug B is retained by a screwed ring Clocked by set-screws, and a cover-plate D is provided with indicating- means for the handle E of the valve. The plug is provided with four radial outlets, i.e. one more than the number of outlet pipes O, spaced as indicated. Each outlet can be opened singly, leaving the remainder closed, and each outlet may be closed singly leaving the remainder open, or all the outlets may be opened or closed.
