Combinations of interdependent valves.--A valve device for use with geysers has interconnected gas and water cocks so arranged that the water is turned on prior to the gas but allows the water cock to be further opened after the gas cock has reached its fully-open position. The spindle A<1> of the water cock, which is of the screw-down type, is fitted with a circular plate A<2> having a tooth A<3> adapted to engage a recess B<3> in a plate B<2> secured to the plug B<1> of the gas cock. The plate B<2> has two circular concavities in which the edge of the disc A<2> engages in turn, as shown, so that the gas cock is locked in its extreme positions.
