[Class 135] In a valve for oil storage tanks and the like the valve b is moved to the open position against the pressure of a spring e by the rotation of a member k having cam shaped projections m engaging similarly shaped projections on a member g secured to the valve stem. The member g is prevented from rotating by a pin i engaging a slot i in the valve casing. The member k has a stem or squared end carrying a detachable key or handle q having a hook r engaging over a flange t on the casing. Removal of the handle q can only be made when the valve is in one particular position, such as the closed position, the end of the hook r then registering with a slot formed in the edge of the flange t.
