Locking catches.-A gravity catch 12 pivotally mounted on the casing of a plug-type valve or tap automatically engages a shoulder 9 on the valve stem 6 when the valve is moved into the closed position. The catch is provided with a bent-over portion forming a finger-piece to permit of its release.
