Handles.-The actuating handle r of a tap or valve is pivoted to a collar n rotatably mounted on the valve casing or valve spindle and is adapted to be turned into engagement with the valve spindle when it is desired to actuate the valve. In the form shown, the handle has a pin s adapted to enter a hole m in the valve spindle.. The collar n may be mounted on the valve spindle. In a modification, the handle is arranged to engage a pair of lugs on the plug of a plug cock.
