Abstract

Plug cocks.- The upper part of the stem 2 of a plug cock is of square or other non-circular section and is provided with one or more projecting portions 4 at right angles to the plane of the washer which coact with stops 6 en the casing. The stem projects above the washer to allow for the engagement of the handle or key, which may be of the form shown in Fig. 5.
