Abstract

214,013. Youngs, T. H. Jan. 30, 1923. Ball and float valves; rotating valves on seats. -The inner end of the lever of a ball float valve is provided with a slight hollow in contact with the end of the valve stem, whereby the valve is rotated slightly at each actuation. A nipple B formed with a seating h is secrewed into the casing A, and the stem q of the valve member f projects through the casing into contact with the end of the lever c. A slight hollow is formed in the lever at d, whereby the valve is given a slight rotation at each actuation. A stop o is formed on the lever to limit the downward movement oi the float. Specifications 11290/14, 139,095, and 139,714 are referred to.
