Locking-catches. - To prevent the unauthorized opening of taps or cocks a screwed pin 1 is mounted in a tapped hole in the valve member, such as 3, which is adapted to be screwed back to engage a plain hole 4 in the valve casing to lock the tap. The locking-pin 1 is provided with a ridge or like formation 6 at its outer extremity to engage the operating-key 8.
