Locking; plug cocks.-A plug cock is provided with a removable nighting washer b having a projection b<1> at right-angles to the plane of the washer adapted to engage laterally extending lugs a', a<2> on the casing a. The cock may be secured in the closed position by inserting a screwed pin d through tapped holes in the washer and stop a'. A similar arrangement may be employed for locking the cock in the open position. A tapped hole d<1> in the end of the plug is provided to receive the pin d when not in use.
