Abstract

Locking.-Relates to means for locking stopcocks, more particularly gasoline pump cocks, and consists in the employment of a removable operating-key 10, which is adapted to be placed and retained in a position on the body of the cock to engage a recess in the valve stem 11. The dotted lines indicate the operative position, and the full lines the locking position; the large end of the key is bevelled at 8 to engage an undercut portion of the casing, and a padlock 23, engaging in a hole 22 and spanning the cock casing, secures the bolt in the locking position.
