Abstract

135,936. Walker, W. Dec. 4, 1918. Valves actuated indirectly. -An auxiliary valve device, adapted to close automatically when a main valve casing is detached from the pipe-line comprises a valve member f provided with guide-rings f<3> embracing a cross-pin f<2> and bearing against the internal walls of a socket d. The socket is attached to the pipe-line and is internally threaded to receive a screwed tail-piece on the main valve casing, which casing is also provided with a projecting pin formed on a crosspiece for unseating the auxiliary valve when the main valve casing is screwed home. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1538/84, 9176/85, 17619/87, and 22143/03.
