Clock-work-actuated valves.-A clock-workactuated valve, particularly applicable for use with automatic gas-lighting apparatus and of the type in which the clock-work actuates the valve through a multiple-threaded screw, has the valve member positively connected to the threaded spindle. The clock-work drives a 24-hour disk 14 fitted with adjustable tappet arms 15, 16, which successively engage a two-armed lever 8, 9 on the threaded spindle 6, working in a member 5 screwed to the valve casing 1, and pinned to a conical valve 7. The valve may have a cork or leather face and a spring may be arranged between the valve member and spindle.
