Abstract
377,825. Valve accessories. HARDWICK, J., 78, Fullerton Road, and ROSE, R., 28, Tonsley Hill, both in Wandsworth, London. Aug. 22, 1931, No. 23671. [Class 135.] Valves or cocks fitted with independently-actuated supplementary valves. To facilitate the rewashering of a water tap &c. an adapter fitted with a cut-off valve is placed between the tap and the supply pipe. The adapter 1 contains a loose valve member 11 which can be made to engage a seat 6 by partial rotation of an eccentric spindle 12, the head of which is screwed and furnished with an actuating-slot. An adjusting-screw 15 limits the opening of the valve. The valve member may be a ball, or a disc which is rotated from a position in line with the passage to one across it.
