Plug cocks. - A rotary plug cock comprises a casing having an upwardly projecting hollow conical seating-member c, integral with the casing or screwed thereto, on which rotates an internally-coned valve member f which is guided externally at its upper part only. The upper part may have a conical liquid-tight bearing with the screwed cap It, as shown, or the bearing may be partly cylindrical and partly conical. In another form, the upper part of the valve member is cylindrical and is guided in the screwed cap, or in a socket formed by an integral portion of the valve casing. In these latter forms, the valves are held to their seatings by an internal spring.
