Abstract

325,368. Wilson, P. Jan. 30, 1929. Lift valves; actuating-mechanism. -A delivery cock for liquids, such as paraffin &c. from tanks, comprises a poppet valve 7 with a resilient facing 16 and guide stems on both sides, one or more springs 10, 11 on the inner stem, a packing gland 13, 14 and loose contact ball 21 at the outer stem, and a readily attachable and detachable operating-cam 24 and lever 27 acting as a key. When the cock is open, it will automatically close when the combined lever and cam 27, 24 is withdrawn from the pivot pin 25 on the casing. Specification 306,309 is referred to.'
