293,622. Brewster, J. H. Nov. 11, 1927. [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Lift valves; locking- catches; strainers. - A push lift valve suitable for petrol &c. drums, casks, &c. comprises a one-piece body 1, a valve 7 with stem 6, and a closing spring 9 beneath the operating push knob 8. A pivoted catch 11 can be moved up to hold the valve open when desired, as shown. A gauze or like screen or filter 13 may be secured to the screwed inlet boss 2 by a screwed ring 14. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 5446/85, 9948/90, 21655/93, 11585/94, 564/96, and 7451/08.
