[Class 135] In a steam or like valve of the type comprising two discs b with a spring between them holding apart and against two seats, the discs are located within a toothed quadrant f operated by a worm g on a spindle h disposed tangentially to the quadrant. An eye piece q on the quadrant bridges the space between the valve seats when the valve is fully open, and stops o on the quadrant engage abutment surfaces p on the interior of the valve body at the ends of the quadrant movement. The quadrant is pivoted in lugs k on a removable cover-piece m.
