Plug cocks; locking. -In a plug cock having a cylindrical or tapered spring - seated plug seating within a cork or other liner and a finger piece or handle solid with the plug, the finger piece 14 is provided with detents or recesses 13 co-operating with recesses or detents 12 on the body of the casing exterior to the liner 3. The coacting detents and recesses serve to secure the plug in an adjusted or closed position, and also raise the plug so as to overcome any tendency of the plug to stick.
