[Class 135.] Closure members, rotary conical; locking-catches.- The plug of a rotary plug cock is held yieldingly to its seating and retained or located in the "open" or " closed " positions by the lateral action of springs X, Y, Fig. 4, or spring-pressed plungers or caps f, Fig. 1, engaging conical or inclined surfaces on the plug or casing. The surface of the plug may be formed with recesses in which the springs or caps engage to locate the " open " or " closed " positions or, as shown in Fig. 1, the inclined surfaces of the casing recess t may be of pyramidal shape.
