Abstract

334,172. Goddard, J. April 18, 1929. Divided application. Piston valves.-A valve for emptying wash tubs or draining utensils comprises a tubular brass casing P with back flange to fit the curved or flat sides of a vessel, the outer end being fitted with a screwed cover 0 carrying a screwed spindle G. To this is fitted a brass disc A with rubber facing washers B. The outer washer seats against the cover O when the valve is open and prevents leakage along the spindle. In closing, the valve head A, B controls the outflow through a lower lateral opening N and finally closes down on the inner face P<1> of the casing. The valve is operated by a milled fibre handle F.
