272,364. Morris, H. S., and Batkin, H. W. Sept. 16, 1926. Drinking appliances for animals. - A drinking bowl for cattle of the type automatically filled with water on the gravity system and provided with a non-return inlet valve, has a fitting F screwed into a boss B at the bottom of the bowl A the boss B also receiving the screwed end of the inlet pipe C. The fitting F contains the non- return valve H and projects upwards some distance into the bowl. A cap J is screwed into the top of the fitting and outlet holes L are formed well up in the sides. To clean the bowl the fitting F is unscrewed and the water run out through the pipe C to some outlet branch.
